School Meals Funding
The Department's letter dated 26 April 2018 advised that the payment of Free School Meals (FSM) grants and Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) administration funding to Voluntary Grammar (VG) and Grant Maintained Integrated (GMI) schools would transfer to the Education Authority with effect from 1 April 2018.
A copy of the letter from the Education Authority that issued to schools in relation to the Initial Estimated Requirements for 2018/2019 can be found below.
Annual Statement of Account 2017/18
The Department will continue to assess the 2017/18 Annual Statement of Accounts documentation until 31 August 2018. This will enable the Department to finalise the 2017/18 accounts and advise the EA of payments that they should make to schools in respect of any excess or balance that may be due.
