Strategic Review of Pupil Services

This Education Authority is seeking to enhance the continuum of provision for children with special needs, particularly those at stage 3 of the current 5 stage statementing process.

It will review and develop improved frameworks for a range of pupil support services; namely:

  • Psychology Service;
  • Autism Service
  • Sensory Support
  • Literacy Service
  • Language & Communication
  • Early Years SEN Service
  • SEN Inclusion Service
  • Critical Incident Support
  • Behaviour Support Provision (primary & post-primary)
  • Exceptional Teaching Arrangements.

The EA will work closely with a wide range of key stakeholders to ensure the proposals support service provision that is high quality, effective, efficient, and focussed on the best outcomes for the children and young people.
