    Summary

    The Department of Education consulted on draft provisions proposed in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2022.

    Consultation description

    The regulations will implement the first stage to remedy the discrimination within public service pension schemes, including NI Teachers' Pension Scheme, resulting from the transitional protection arrangements that were part of scheme reforms in 2015.

    Views were requested to ensure that the proposed regulations achieve the policy aims described in the consultation.
