    Consultation description

This consultation seeks views on a range of options that have been considered as part of the Department's review of the eligibility criteria for free school meals and uniform grants.

The Department has explored a number of options and has modelled the potential impact of each option in terms of the number of extra pupils that could benefit and the associated additional costs. These options are detailed in the range of consultation documents.

The Department is keen to hear the views of all stakeholders, particularly children and young people and parents.

The consultation will run until 5pm on Friday 14 February 2025. Please note that responses received after this date may not be able to be considered.

An Irish-language version of the main consultation document will be available shortly.
