The Department of Education has launched a public consultation on the draft Strategy for Looked After Children: Improving Children’s Lives.
The consultation period will run from Wednesday 9 May 2018 until 5.00 pm on Wednesday 1 August 2018 inclusive. Please note that responses received after the deadline will not be considered.

Consultation description
The Department of Education (DE) and the Department of Health (DoH) are consulting on the draft joint DE/DoH “Strategy for Looked After Children: Improving Children’s Lives". The principal aim of the strategy and associated implementation plan is “to improve the overall wellbeing of looked after children and care experienced young people”.
Your views are sought on the range of questions set out in the online e-questionnaire.
A series of public consultation workshop events will be taking place across Northern Ireland in the coming weeks. Details of how to book for these events are provided above and in the e-questionnaire.
