    On 13 January 2026, following negotiations, the Northern Ireland Teachers’ Council formally accepted Management Side’s pay offer for Teachers Pay 2025/26.

    2025/2026 - Teachers' Pay Agreement

    Following a Ministerial Direction by the Minister for Education, the offer from Management Side was formally accepted by NITC.

    The Pay Settlement includes a 4% increase to all teacher and school leader pay points with effect from 1 September 2025.  In addition, Teaching and Special Needs Allowances will be increased by 4% from 1 September 2025.
