2025/2026 Teachers' Pay Offer

Management Side of the Teachers’ Negotiating Committee submitted a formal offer for a 2025/26 teachers’ pay award to the Northern Ireland Teaching Council (NITC) on 6 January 2026.
This follows Executive approval of a Ministerial Direction from Paul Givan on 18 December 2025,
The offer is for a 4% consolidated pay award to all teacher salary scale points with effect from 1st September 2025. In addition, Teaching and Special Needs Allowances will be increased by 4% from 1st September 2025.
The NITC will now consult their respective memberships following which they will advise Management Side of the outcome.
