Speaking at the official opening, Paul Givan said:

"It is wonderful to be here today to celebrate with the pupils and staff of Killyman Primary School. Following investment of almost £900,000, it is fantastic to see the completion of this project which has provided new and improved facilities and accommodation for all the school staff and pupils. This will undoubtedly enhance the educational experience for everyone attending the school now and for generations to come.”

The project was delivered in partnership with the Education Authority and McCuskers building contractors.

Killyman Primary School Principal, Mrs Deborah Mitchell, said:

"The official opening of our new classrooms and facilities marks a significant milestone and a truly special day for the whole Killyman School community. Every child deserves to learn in modern, vibrant and fit-for-purpose facilities that help them reach their full potential, and today we see that ambition realised. I want to thank everyone who helped bring this project to life, including our pupils, staff and the entire project team, for their dedication in delivering a first-class school we can all be proud of."
