“The opening of any new school building is something to be celebrated and improving the schools’ estate remains a key priority for me. I will continue to make the case for additional funds to ensure that this important area of work gets the attention it deserves.”

The £4.4 million project was funded through the Fresh Start Programme supported by the United Kingdom Government.

    The Minister continued:

“I would like to commend staff, pupils and parents for their perseverance and patience over the last number of years as the project team has taken the work through from design to planning and construction.

“I am confident these new, modern facilities will match the school’s collective enthusiasm and passion for learning and teaching and help Parkhall advance further on its education journey.”

Construction on the site began in April 2023 and was completed in August 2024.
