The TransformED Delivery Plan turns the strategy’s vision for educational excellence into actionable steps, focusing on teacher professional learning, curriculum reform, assessment, qualifications, school improvement and tackling educational disadvantage.

The Delivery Plan clearly sets out the approach, key delivery partners, indicative timescales and costs to ensure effective implementation of each of the actions within the TransformED Strategy.

    Paul Givan said:

“TransformED represents a break with what has gone before. I want to focus on investing in and supporting high-quality professional development for our school leaders and teachers and relentlessly improving curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.

“Since the launch of the TransformED strategy work has been underway to finalise the Delivery Plan, which sets out a clear roadmap for the way ahead. The heart of education lies in the classroom and I believe this Plan will drive real and meaningful change across our education system.”

    The Education Minister concluded:

“Our aim is to ensure our education system is truly world-leading – one that is excellent, equitable, inclusive and responsive to the needs of all children and young people in a rapidly changing world. This ambitious reform programme has the potential to transform education in Northern Ireland for a generation.”
