Application for retirement benefits (TP4)

The TP4 – Intention to Retire and TP4A – Intention to Retire are a streamlined version of the TP4 application form for retirement and replace the previous TP4 and TP4A retirement application form.
Please note:
The timeframe for submitting your retirement application has been extended from at least 3 months prior to date of retirement to at least 4 months prior to date of retirement.
This recognises changes under the McCloud Remedy where Teachers’ Pensions Team must now produce two different pension options for affected members, rather than issue automatic payment of one.
Teachers working in EA schools should return their TP4 through their employer who must obtain a countersignature and stamp from EA via eateaching@eani.org.uk
Teachers working in CCMS schools should send their completed form to Angela.Armstrong@ccmsschools.com
Teachers working in Voluntary Grammar schools, the Further Education sector or outside bodies should forward their completed form to their employer.
Any NISTR teachers, or any teachers who have left teaching should send their completed for to teachers.pensions@education-ni.gov.uk
Please also send a copy of your birth certificate with your form. N.B a photocopy or scanned version will be accepted during this period.
