The Education and Training Inspectorate’s Report of a survey of Special Educational Needs in mainstream schools (May 2019) with video sessions with schools.

Details

The two video sessions in the links at the foot of this page arise from the Education and Training Inspectorate’s Report of a survey of Special Educational Needs in mainstream schools, published on 23 May 2019.

Over the two video sessions, you will hear from four of the schools surveyed during the Inspectorate’s evaluation.

The Report as a whole and, in particular, the 30 cases studies included within it, together with the videos, provide an excellent resource for schools of systems and strategies of effective SEN practice which ensure a high quality mainstream school provision for pupils with SEN.

The Department recommends that all schools read the Report and use the video links as a means of disseminating effective SEN practice to their staff.
