The Department for Employment and Learning, along with the Department of Education, hosted the third Teacher Education Conference on the theme of Teacher Education in a Climate of Change, which took place in the City Hotel, Londonderry, on 21 and 22 November 2005.
The Conference focused on the key themes of Early Teacher Education and Career-Long Professional Development and presented propositions for the future. It provided a key opportunity for delegates to inform the two Departments' development of final proposals for the future of teacher education in Northern Ireland.
