     This scheme applies to all eligible teachers to provide leave to care for their child or support the mother/adopter following the birth or placement for adoption for the first 12 months the child is with the family.

    This form should be completed by ALL teachers absent owing to shared parental leave whether or not they are entitled to payment. For further information please refer to the current circular TNC 2015/5 on shared parental leave. This is available from your school, employing authority or the DE Website.
