Locality Profile
The RAISE East Belfast Locality comprises 10 Super Output Areas (SOAs) which are Ballymacarrett (1,2 & 3), The Mount (1 & 2), Woodstock (1, 2 & 3) and Bloomfield (1 & 3). There are 3433 number of pupils enrolled in nursery, primary and post-primary schools, according to School Census data 2024/25.

The RAISE East Belfast Strategic Area Plan sets out the context of the locality and identifies what the key issues are that underpin educational disadvantage within the locality. The plan includes objectives and high-level actions that are consistent with the Strategic Objectives of the Programme and are based on the needs of the locality, research and evidence of what works.
