    Leaders of Education Programme

    Topics:
    • TransformED

The Leaders of Education Programme is a new programme developed under TransformED with a key objective to strengthen the provision of school-to school support, addressing a gap identified by school leaders in accessing peer support.

The programme commenced on 1 September 2026, bringing together a group of highly experienced school leaders to work in partnership with schools supporting excellence and improvement and helping to realise the ambitions of TransformED for all learners.

Twelve System Leader Partners (SLPs) are currently seconded to the Centre for Educational Excellence and Improvement within the Department.

    The Role of SLPs

The SLPs work in partnership with schools and across the system, bringing current school experience, practical insight and a strong focus on improvement, excellence and better outcomes for all learners.
