Mr Brush's wife is a teacher in a Northern Ireland school and therefore benefits from any pay award negotiated between the Unions and Management Side.  As he has strategic oversight of Workforce Policy within DE, including TUS engagement on pay, he has discharged this responsibility with impartiality. The final decision on any pay offer rests with the Minister.
