    • Raising standards and school improvement

T-REX (Teachers’ Research Exchange) is an established online platform that connects education professionals and supports the sharing of effective, evidence-based practices. Successfully operating in the Republic of Ireland, it enhances the impact of educational research by promoting collaboration across all phases of education.

With support from the Shared Island initiative, T-REX is now being extended to Northern Ireland, offering teachers new opportunities to engage in collaborative research, professional learning and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

The programme is delivered by Mary Immaculate College, Limerick on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth (Ireland), and for the expansion into Northern Ireland the College will be working in partnership with Stranmillis University College. Preparations for the Northern Ireland rollout are progressing, with a formal launch planned for the 2025/26 academic year.
