The Compendium of School Evaluation and Planning Case Studies in Northern Ireland – “Towards Civic and Public Engagement: The Continuing Journey and Impact of the DCU/EQI Shaped Professional Learning Research Network - Looking Back and Looking Forward” – was launched on 22 May 2023.

The compendium features a sample of 38 Action Based School Evaluation Projects carried out within a network of 150 schools throughout Northern Ireland over the last three years, working alongside Dr Patrick Shevlin and Dr Martin Brown at Dublin City University's (DCU) Centre for Evaluation Quality and Inspection (EQI).

The compendium provides interesting and innovative studies from a diverse range of schools within the professional learning network who have used evidence-informed practice and data informed decision making processes to drive school improvement. This is the second time a study of this nature has been conducted across Northern Ireland that has been led by a University-based team, and on this occasion the scale has been increased to cover a greater number of school improvement projects and many new additional schools from all school types.
